Description
Pick what goes on each side of a metal 6-1/8" Heavy Hex Gauge, and I laser engrave it for you.
Some crews work inch and metric. Some want inch on both sides. Some want their name on the back so the gauge finds its way home. Choose your two sides from the list below, and I engrave them on a navy anodized gauge made from 6061 aerospace aluminum. It reads heavy hex nuts up to 6-1/8" for the big flanges on heat exchangers and turbines, and it's rated to a little over 1000°F.
Step 1: Pick your two sides
- Heavy Hex inch: nuts from one flat, 1-1/16" to 6-1/8", and studs 5/8" to 4"
- Heavy Hex metric: nuts 32 mm to 165 mm, studs M22 to M100
- Heavy Hex inch + contact info, or Heavy Hex metric + contact info: the heavy hex scale shares the side with your name, phone and email
Every side is already designed. The photos show each one.
Not sure yet? Choose Leave it Open for either side. You can pay now and lock in the order, and I'll email you to settle the sides before anything gets engraved.
Step 2: Contact info (only for "Contact Info" sides)
If you picked a side with contact info, fill in the top, middle and bottom lines below the side choices: name or company, phone and email. They print in that order, as the sample photos show. You can upload a simple logo for that space too. If the file is too big for the upload, email it to Wes@HexSizer.com with your order number. If you didn't pick a contact info side, leave the lines blank. There's nowhere else on the gauge to put them.
Step 3: Choose your proof
- Run it without a proof. The fastest way.
- Email me a proof first. Nothing runs until you say it's right.
- Ship me a real sample first, $15.99. Hold it in your hand before the full run. I'll send you a separate invoice for the sample.
Color and turnaround
Navy blue is the standard color. I sometimes have gold, red or black on the shelf. Email me before you order if you want one of those. Orders ship in 5 working days.
Need more than a stock side?
If you want a side of your own design, like a torque sequence chart or a large company logo, email me at Wes@HexSizer.com and we'll work it out.
Only working on nuts up to 4-5/8"? The 4-5/8" version is wallet size, with the same heavy hex sides plus SAE.
Frequently asked questions
Is there a minimum?
No. Order one or a thousand. The price per piece drops as the quantity goes up, and the quantity pricing is shown next to the price.
Can I put my logo on it?
A simple logo fits in the contact info space, so pick a Contact Info side. For a large logo, email me.
Can I order now and decide on the sides later?
Yes. Choose Leave it Open, and I'll email you to work out what goes on the gauge before I engrave it. That's handy when the budget is there now but the design isn't.
What color is the engraving?
White or a very bright silver.
Will it take the heat?
Yes. It's rated to a little over 1000°F (538°C), so it works on hot units and live steam lines where a plastic gauge would melt.
