Description
The SAE HexSizer sizes everyday nuts and bolts two ways: across the flats like a ruler, or from one flat when the nut is still on the bolt. SAE inch on the front, metric on the back. Credit-card size, so it lives in your wallet.
Three ways to use it
Across the flats. The left edge reads like a ruler. Set the nut against it and read the actual across-flats size, which is your wrench size.
From one flat. The right edge measures a single flat of the nut and converts it to the across-flats size. That's the one you want on an installed nut, where the bolt is in the way of a ruler or a caliper.
Bolt diameter. Set the bolt in the half circles and read its size.
You can also stand it on its bottom edge and use it as a height gauge from the "0 Start" line.
